KEMATIAN.BIZ, Jakarta - Akan ada fenomena langka pada 12 hingga 14 Agustus mendatang. Hujan meteor bernama Perseid akan bisa dilihat dengan mata telanjang.

Bill Bunker, presiden Whatcom Association of Celestial Observers mengatakan waktu terbaik untuk mengamati meteor itu adalah setelah tengah malam atau sebelum fajar menyingsing.

Ellen Thompson anggota Whatcom Association of Celestial Observers mengatakan akan muncul 30 hingga 35 meteor dalam satu jam atau satu meteor tiap dua menit.

Hujan meteor Perseid terjadi tiap tahun dari akhir Juli hingga akhir Agustus. Meteor itu terlihat saat bumi melewati batu ruang angkasa itu di mana waktu puncaknya adalah pada 12 Agustus.
